Chapter Activities:
There is something for everyone. As a prospective
member, you may attend three meetings before deciding
whether to join. All other activities are for members only.
Meetings: Discussion meetings address women's issues, parenting strategies and other
topics of interest ranging from birthday party planning to family financial
planning.
Sometimes a guest speaker is featured. Discussion groups are held the second
and fourth weeks of each month at Whitney Place in Natick (Link
to Yahoo Map). Nonmobile infants are welcome. If you are interested in our chapter, you may attend
three discussion groups before joining.
Advocacy: Promotes awareness of issues impacting mothers and the value of the work they do.
Book Group: Members meet every 6 weeks
at Borders on Rt. 9 to discuss the latest selection and coffee and tea.
There is no need for a long-term commitment.
Care Committee: Members volunteer
to bring food to those in our chapter who have had a baby, are ill or otherwise are in need
of a few meals.
Children’s Activities: Children's activities have included apple picking, bowling, sledding, holiday parties, and museum visits and are open to all ages. RSVP required.
Community Relations: The chapter supports various social action projects such as bringing food to
homeless families, buying books for children who need them and sponsoring
students through the Framingham Resource Center's Adopt a Student program.
Annually, the chapter presents a Family Friendly Business Award.
